* In Laguna Beach on Sunday, February 14th, from 6-11PM there will be a belated birthday celebration and tribute for the most powerful icon of Reggae music...Bob Marley (born Feb.,6th). Reggae is the music of LOVE and a Bob Marley dream that someday the world will achieve a universal respect for one another, or in his words a ONE LOVE.
* The Reggae is good! Laguna Beach is the American Reggae capital for the wild west. This event will act as the showcase for this wonderful scene and Grammy nominated artist (Best Reggae Album) Pato Banton. Bands are listed below:
* Rebel Rockers - It is said that out of inspiration, or sometimes desperation great things grow. The Rebel Rockers have experienced both. The still rocking, hard working band, strongly influenced by Bob Marley, are credited with bringing Reggae to Southern California. They have played from the California coast to Mexico, from Europe to Kingston, Jamaica. Rebel Princess, Redz and Jelanis award winning style has been described as infectious. The Caribbean rhythms of this band stream from personal experience. The trials of all members have brought them to a place where music is not only a cure, but also a way of living.
* World Anthem generates, a blend of soul reggae and R&B, has been honed through consistent and tireless live shows throughout Southern California. It is a pleasure for devout fans and newcomers alike to watch World Anthem perform live, as each multi-talented member treats you to a glimpse of their beautiful world. Their distinctive musical sound is a culmination of their culturally diverse backgrounds giving World Anthem a global appeal.
* A Pato Banton concert is an event not to be missed and an experience not to be forgotten. Positive vibrations abound with a beat to keep you on your dancing feet, while the Grammy Award nominated (Best Reggae Album, Life Is A Miracle) Pato, delivers a message that is food for the mind and soul. The direction of the concert is totally based on the feedback Pato receives from the audience as there is no fixed set list. * The Venue: Club M is one of the best places for presenting outstanding live musical artists. The club has an ambiance symbolic to the cause; red, black and purple velvet create a sensuous mood. The club is located at 680 S. Coast Hwy. in Laguna Beach.
