Now You Can Always Help Keep Our Beaches Clean!

Organized Beach Cleanups play a vital role in the over-all condition and health of our coastline and its marine habitat. However, people who care should not have to wait for a beach cleanup in order to pick up trash!

In order to address this problem Helpbluewater.com along with our partners have established multiple Clean Beach Stations (CBS) along our coastline to insure everyone the opportunity to pick up trash left by others - Whenever they have the time to!

Here is how the program works:

All high school students in Orange County are required to complete a certain number of community service hours before they graduate. Most students will go to the beach several times during the school year, and during their summer vacation.

HelpBlueWater.com has garnered support from local eco-minded surf shops, convenience stores and restaurants willing to participate in the program as a clean beach station, providing clean-up materials for the volunteers. These stations provide the bags and gloves required for all the clean ocean-minded students and others to stage individual beach and neighborhood clean-up efforts.

A side benefit our local businesses have experienced is increased store traffic resulting in higher merchandise sales, boogie-board rentals, lunch item purchases, etc., while students experience a first-hand sense of accomplishment in supporting a beautiful future for our beaches.

Drop by a local Clean Beach Station (CBS) and ask for your CBS KIT. The KIT: Includes Plastic Gloves, Trash Bag and a Liability Release Form/Survey). If you are a student and need Community Service hours, bring your Community Service Form for the CBS manager to sign. Encourage your friends to participate!
