In a period of just over two years, without the help of corporate sponsorship the Blue Water formula has successfully produced the largest ecological event in Orange County history - the annual EARTH DAY Blue Water Music Festival, the first festival dedicated to the musicians of Orange County, the first envirnomental awards for Southern California - The annual GAIA Awards. The county’s largest poetry forum The EARTH SPEAKS where O.C. poets converge to translate the planets unspoken language.The largest cleanup effort in Laguna Beach history - the annual EARTH DAY Beach/Hill & Canyon Cleanup and Environmental Fair which attracted over a 1,000 people for the cleanup educational effort in its first year.
Since the 2005 Blue Water artists have become a marketing powerhouse, proving the formula does works, HelpBlueWater.com has organized 60 over events, featuring over a 100 artists, collaborating efforts with dozens of non-profit organizations. It seems our efforts have not gone un-noticed. In the past 24 months we have received countless press features and accolades - including 4 front page articles and over 250 individually published references. HelpBlueWater.com was also featured in a recent television production by Cox-Adelphia/Time-Warner called the Reach Out Show in 2006 and has already been featured on CNN Headline News for the full five minutes twice in 2007.
Programs
In addition to producing these oustanding and vital events, HelpBlueWater.com has established the first year-round beach cleanup program - The Clean Beach Station (CBS) program (see message section then select programs), so we dont have to wait for a certified cleanup effort to pickup trash left by others. Now students can receive community service hours on a daily basis for keeping our beaches clean.
